Tomorrow, a 217-year-old dog, is searching for his lost master. He has traveled through the courts and battlefields of Europe-- and through the centuries-- in search of the man who granted him immortality. Befriending both animals and humans, Tomorrow falls in love only once, and gains insight into both the strength and frailties of the human spirit. But danger stalks his path, and in the shadows lurks an old enemy. Tomorrow must find his master before their pursuer can reach him and his master disappears forever

... and now for something *completely* different. :)
Dibben gives us a charming, and engaging, and very, um, human account of the life of a dog missing his master, and seeking for him and waiting faithfully - for over 100 years! So, we have a little historical fiction sweep (one part Edward Rutherfurd), some alchemy and fantasy (one part Neil Gaiman), and a little bit of heart-rending Lady & the Tramp. Along the way, the dog has an extraordinary life, meeting Galileo, Titian, Cromwell, Mozart, Byron, Napoleon, and host of others. The "main lesson" is even for a dog named Tomorrow (for hope), living in the moment is always the most exquisite choice.

I LOVED THIS BOOK which carried a very powerful message about loyalty and the relationship between Humans and animals. I was deeply moved by the relationship between a human and a dog.

The story was based on earlier times when animals were not pets. The loyalty shown between the Dog and his master and other dogs met along the way. It was very touching.

If you are an animal lovers & softie like me some passages will be hard to read due to the emotions this story brings up.

If you love history and ANIMALS, you will find this book to be very special. The dogs name in the book is Tomorrow and the meaning & hope for tomorrow is woven throughout the book.
