Beautiful book by a gifted writer. His first two books are non fiction but are so engaging they read like well written novels.

Dr Verghese's compassion was stunning. The level of care he demonstrated is what we wish our own doctors practiced. What a wonderful book!

I read this book a few years ago. His story stayed with me. I also recommend The Tennis Partner.

A GREAT book about a Doctors journey dealing with the onset of AIDS living in a smalltown. A must read for anyone thinking of pursuing medicine or already doing so, as it fills in the stories of many patients we have the privilege of interacting with.

A very interesting personal-professional memoir about love, family, human connection, disease, passion, and courage. Full of grace and insight on the practice of medicine and the art of living, would recommend.
