The only thing interesting about the sophomoric plot of this book is that the author's wife, Megyn Kelly, claims the book is loosely based on her life and career.

I'm surprised she's essentially admitting that she was so easily conned and manipulated ~ twice ~ by a political operative during a presidential campaign on behalf of her former lover and law partner who wouldn't return her phone calls during the campaign. It doesn't seem to be a good way to establish journalistic credibility with her new audience at NBC.

Douglas Brunt's first book The Ghosts of Manhattan was a better read. However, he needs to find more to write about than men who drink excessively and sexually abuse women.

Gripping and an easy read. A novel from many perspectives. I would recommend this book to House of Cards fans.
