It is a Christian tearjerker about a fat kid who becomes an All American offensive lineman at Arkansas. After being drafted by the Colts and told he would be a starter, he gets killed in a car wreck on the way home to take his mother to church. It might have made a decent short, but the attempt to stretch it into a full length movie failed. I gave it one star because it was based on a real story. Not recommended unless you are looking for religious support.

Whether you are of faith or not, understand football or the fervent devotion to "Friday night football" culture, this movie is much more than about either/both. It is a truly inspiring and uplifting story about a young boy who took every advantage given to him and even created a few to get to become the incredible young man he was. This movie is worth a watch by everyone - sports fan or not, and faiths of all perspective.

GOD so thoroughly used this man as his faith in Him kept growing. His reward awaits, with his call from grave by Jesus. Fantastic person as a role model for children & the older kids like us...

Greater is not only an awesome movie but is based on one of the greatest stories you'll ever hear. Greater tells the true story of Brandon Burlsworth and his dream of playing for the Arkansas Razorbacks football team. After high school he had scholarships for smaller colleges but he wanted to play for the Razorbacks, so he joined as a walk on. Brandon worked hard nonstop to get a spot on the team no matter the odds and once he did, he became one of the best college football players. He even was drafted into the NFL although I don't want to say too much. Brandon's story is very inspiring and moving. He was determined and continuously worked hard to achieve his dream of being a Razorback. Whether you like sports or not this is a great movie and a heartwarming story that everyone will love.
Rating 5/5 stars.
