Given this is a teaching movie, all it did was confuse the heck out of my kids. To bring in the orphan boy to narrate the story added a layer that detracted from looking at Edison's accomplishments rather than add to it. It's too confusing for pre-teens, and likely too childish for those who are older. It would have been better without the kid - basically, redone from a different perspective.

What a wonderful piece of Americana (the musical content is also by and large that) and, of course, a piece of world heritage! But, lo and behold, it is all made in Canada! All the same, it is an inspiring production.
