Identical on the outside, Joy and Grace Morris could not be more different. Joy is the wild child who revels in angering her parents while Grace strives to be the daughter with stellar grades. Their world is torn asunder with the death of a popular musician at their high school, because Joy believes she caused his death, while drunk, as revenge for his sexual assault of Grace. Joy's fears are confirmed when she receives mysterious notes from a blackmailer, and as the sisters try to learn the truth, they discover grimy secrets just beneath the facade of their seemingly idyllic town. -- adapted from Booklist review

Please Don’t Tell is a very interesting book about murder and blackmail that keeps you on your toes about what will happen next. The protagonist seems to be battling a lot of conflicting emotions because she thought she actually murdered somebody. While that is going on, someone is blackmailing her about this supposed murder. This story gets really intense and can really make you question what is truly right and wrong. At least, three-fifths of the story is dedicated to that, while the other 40% is just boring pointless backstory with no real threat, is not interesting in the slightest, and it drags on for way too long. So with a 3 out of 5, I would happily recommend this book to someone who likes a bit of suspense in their novels. But just stick to the main plot and avoid the subplot.

Very suspenseful and quick read. It was interesting how it jumped both from Joy to Grace's points of view but also gives you flashbacks. The present is narrated by Joy while the past is recalled by Grace. There were a few spelling and grammar errors that made me laugh due to the oversight of the editor but all in all an awesome read. I found myself wishing I had a Levi of my own and very shocked at the ending.
