What might have been an interesting idea- the source material of Doctor Watson- completely unravels under what ends up being nothing more than an amateurish documentary that runs off in all sorts of directions. Aside from using stock footage from older Holmes films, the bulk of the documentary is all over the place, with one notion after another that goes off in various paths, all leading away from the character himself. The production values are abysmal, to be frank. This should be avoided in favour of documentary work by filmmakers who actually care about doing their personal best.
