HONOR FLIGHT is a heartwarming documentary about four living World War II veterans and a Midwest community coming together to give them the trip of a lifetime. Volunteers race against the clock to ?y thousands of veterans to Washington, D.C., to see the memorial constructed for them in 2005, nearly sixty years after the War. As the trip unfolds, Orville, Julian, Joe, Harvey and others share their stories and wisdom. While the Honor Flight program is meant to give something back to these humble heroes, the goodness they embody and their appreciation for life in freedom, transforms the lives of everyone they meet

A simple and straightforward story about honoring the WWII veterans. Not only taking them to the WWII memorial in Washington DC, but being showered with love and affection by friends and family. I found this extremely moving and emotional, and as a Vietnam veteran am somewhat envious, but also very grateful that this happened.

I recently went as a guardian on Honor Flight . What a wonder trip for the men and women who served our country. Yes, we had one woman. She along with three men laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknow Soldier.
