The 47 ronin in this case refers to the 47 times my thoughts wandered from paying attention. Went into this movie with high hopes of it being a cool fantasy take on the source material...it let me down what can I say. Watch only if you’re in need of mindless fun and cultural appropriation.

Entertaining enough, with a heaping helping of swords and sorcery, but a bit of a downer at the end.

Good action movie.

I enjoyed this movie for the pace, acting and special effects. The story itself was Hollywood homogenized to a large degree but the telling of the true story might be boring on-screen. The additional characters and added love story make it palatable to many who do not want to watch a documentary of the 47 Ronin. Purists won't enjoy this film but they are a "difficult to please" group. I hoped to be entertained, and I was.

I think it was a stroke of genius on Keanu's part to populate the film with actors who are as bad as acting as he is, you don't even notice his bad acting most of the time. And he doesn't say that much, that's a plus. The action and the story aren't that bad. Liked the set design a lot. The CGI doesn't seem to be up to the films visual ambitions though. Good time passer.

Despite the spiritistic overtones, actually a really good movie. The end fight scenes had you wondering if they would win. At parts tragic and others heartfelt. A true blend of an asian and american film. I liked the "true" back story behind movie, but I'm sure purists will be upset by the liberties taken.

this movie was awful. If you know the story of the 47 ronin then you know there was no reason for Keanu's chracter to even be there. Oishi is the star of this story. I dont know if they thought keanu would help bring in money, or what. I do know that the story of the 47 ronin was awesome by itself and did not need to be centered on a "half breed" as they called him in the movie to be so either. The chracters role in the movie was weird

( really he was raised by demons in the woods? how would demons care for a newborn? and why would they? who are these baby sitting demons, if they are that caring are they really that bad?)

I didnt lik ethe witch fox lady either. this movie was just goofy. It took a great story and messed it up cause it tired to make it better when it was already epic. This link sums up other issues I had with the movie http://io9.com/keanu-reeves-new-movie-has-47-problems-but-the-ronin-1489456200. Really though watch something else

not as bad as the criticts say it was it was decent. Its a shame that it didn't do better at the movie box office.

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie, considering all the negative press. Keanu Reeves was definitely too old for his part and alot of the magical elements seemed out of place, but overall I enjoyed the action and the story.
