This was my first time reading this authors books. I love cozy mysteries and was not disappointed with this one. I liked the characters and it is the sign of a good book when you feel you know the characters. Great story with little splashes of humor. I will read more of this series for sure.

Totally unbelievable! Not even as good as a B movie. Poor copy-editing as some characters are called by more than one name (and they aren't nicknames). If I hadn't been stuck somewhere with nothing else to read, I would never have finished this book. The characters are caricatures of what someone thinks people (especially women) in the Deep South of the USA are like. Not worth reading. This author is now on my don't-read-anything-else-by-this-person list.

A good book for an afternoon at the beach
