I wish I had read this book before I had my children - and I'm sure they do too! In addition to healthy, doable recipes, Jenny Rosenstrach shares her thoughts on the importance of making and eating dinner together as a family on a regular basis - AND how to do it. She has inspired me to renew my efforts at creating dinners that nurture my family on a number of levels.

I love this book - I bought my own copy after I returned the library's. Great recipes (I've tried a few of them) interspersed with commentary about food and family stories. She makes cooking for a family seem like a rewarding and worthwhile task instead of a chore.

Part family cookbook, part family memoir on the importance of family dinners. Fun, enjoyable, humorous and thought-provoking.
