I've never read this author but enjoyed this one. There was a lot of technical information which reminded of Tom Clancy's books. The story showed our SEALS at their best. It's very pertinent to the current situation in the middle east.

This is how techno-thriller should have been written. After giving up on Tom Clancy's ultra-right-wing narratives, and starving for some intelligent writing in this genre, Larry Bond provided me with what I sorely need.
The balanced view on world affairs, relationships, cultural differences and policy have completely updated this genre from the post 9-11 paranoia-laden / islamophobia thrillers currently swamping the shelves.
Thanks Larry Bond.

This is the genre ... and I pretty much like most written ... that allows me to eshew most movies made during the past decade. Open this one up and two days later you have been introduced to places you would otherwise not have a chance to visit, given a glimpse of other ways of thought and therefore educated and thoroughly entertained.
