This book is okay, but the Angel really annoys me. She is unrealistically perfect. I like Girl of the Limberlost better.

this book is a very sweet book but at first i had thought that freckles was about fourteen, then we find out that he's around twenty by the end of the book; and i wish that we eventually found out the angel's name. didn't she ever tell freckles what her real name was????? the ending was a little bland compared to the previous fight w/ wessner, and the description of the garden, his taming of his "chickens" and so forth.
theogirl, im not so sure that it will awaken all of your senses, but i do agree with you that it is a little known classic.
