I'd highly suggest avoiding this book.

The author not only has the writing style of a complete amateur, and offers no detailed or deep insight into Nintendo, its company culture, or its history. It's all shallow stuff, which reads like a college student who wanted to paraphrase what he read on Wikipedia.

The book also contains numerours errors, a few (that I can remember, at least) are:

- Throughout the book he calls the Nintendo Famicom, Famicon (with an 'n')
- Misspells Samus Aran's name as Samas Arau.
- In Super Mario Bros. 2, says that bowser was the main villain of the game (when it was Wart).

Whether you're someone who grew up in the NES/SNES era (as I did), or just want something with "Super Mario" in it to have your kids read, there's nothing of value in this book. Avoid it.
