Amazing that the Vice President of the US, George H.W. Bush, would be visiting the family of the assassin the night before! Will wondrous coincidences never cease? Especially as regards the Walker-Bush-Koch family (Bush was also brunching with the senior family member of the bin Laden family in Washington, D.C., the day of 9/11/01 - - Bush was in Dallas on the day of the assassination of President Kennedy [see Russ Baker's book, "Family of Secrets"], Prescott Bush was part of the group which tried to overthrow the FDR administration, and on and on).

Reagan is apotheosized from his black shoes to his Brylcreem, but the telling here of the assassination attempt is the next best thing to having been there, the real unassuming heroes however are in the operating rooms, where the skills, the dedication, and the very humanity of the caregivers are meticulously rendered and made to shine, a well researched, probably definitive work of some historical significance
