While I'm replying to your comment over 1+ year later, it's still better late than never. Not sure of your age and/or gender, etc., but I have read several books on BPD and NPD. I know of several family members, alive and deceased, going back at least 4 generations that I know of (my generation included) who have or had one or both BDP/NPD/HPD. The two best books I read were Understanding the Borderline Mother by Christine Ann Lawson and Stop Caretaking the Borderline or Narcissist by Margalis Fjelstad. These two books changed my life and literally created a paradigm shift in my life. Surviving a Borderline Parent and Stop Walking on Eggshells were also very good, but the initial two I mentioned helped me the most, as it applied directly to my particular situation as my mother has BPD/NPD/HPD and my dad is the 'caretaker' in their relationship. One other book I read that could be very helpful for those with BPD/NPD is called Mindfulness For Borderline Personality Disorder by Blaise Aguirre, MD, and Gillian Galen, PsyD. I read through this and it's basically like free dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). To my knowledge, DBT has been shown to be the most effective form of psychotherapy for those with BPD/NPD/HPD. And, to my knowledge the only three things known to help are anti-depressant and anti-anxiety medication and psychotherapy. And, of course, me being a Christian, I believe God can work miracles in people's lives if they'll allow Him. Cheers!

This is the only book I found incredibly helpful, as I just discovered I have BPD. It was informative, and helped me realize that my life does in fact make sense. I know of no other books on BPD. If anyone ever has a recommendation, let me know. I also have three unpublished memoirs that reveal inside the mind of someone with BPD. If you have BPD, or someone you know, and would like to talk, or ask a question, feel free to message me.
