a wrenching account of a difficult marriage, but imbued throughout with profound love, written beautifully, and tenderly, with courage and grace

an amazing story about a real marriage, full of chaos and darkness, but also love.

It was disappointing to read this book about the literary crowd because it didn't seem very well written. I suspect that it would never have been published if the author hadn't been married to a figure of some public interest.

After her husband of 46 years died, Brady found out he was gay. A poignant tale of coming to terms.
