A science experiment gone wrong makes everyone in a small town suddenly swap identities. Parents act like kids. Their kids behave like adults. The oldest cop is 11 years old and grown-ups are playing hopscotch! Well, the acting was not good and the plot is thin, but children between the ages of 5 and 9 would probably enjoy it.

Skip It - Opposite Day (2009) 88 min. At first I thought that this was going to be a sort of homage to Alan Parker's "Bugsy Malone (1976)" where the cast is made up of children playing adult roles but it fell significantly short of expectation. This film, unlike Bugsy, is void of any good child actors. Even the adult actors like Pauly Shore need to take a refresher drama class on how to be convincing. This film is intended for the tots so don't expect anything more than background noise from this sad film about an experiment malfunction that changes all adults to children and children to adults. Even the computer had to spell this out clearly to the viewer given that the viewer is probably no more than 7; which begs me to reflect on why I watched this film to begin with. However, it was nice seeing Dick Van Patten, who will always be remembered for his role as Tom Bradford in the ABC hit television series "Eight Is Enough (1977-1981)".
