Behind the wheel of a beat up old BMW, fuelled by hilarious banter and a killer soundtrack, the brothers' search leads them through a bizarre, beautiful land filled with surprising, comical characters to a very unexpected and magical destination

This film was praised by many professional film critics, but I find the two main characters, and hence the film, totally uninteresting. What a yawn of a road trip movie.

This movie makes some quite disturbing commentary on Los Angeles: every character the brothers come across on their journey, except for one, is shown to be unfit for normal human interaction. Oddly no reviewer has pointed this out....what does that mean? The exception is the woman in the house, who through her perceptive powers is able to sense a major secret hanging between the brothers. That secret in itself makes this movie quite uncommon and difficult to comment on.

I appreciated the wry humor of the lead character as well as a pretty awesome soundtrack that included Wilco, Dinosaur Jr. and Camper Van Beethoven. A refreshing break from the repetitive fair typically available at the cinema.

Slow but funny with a surprising twist at the end.

Skip It - Passenger Side (2009) 85 min. This movie is as interesting as a $5 bill. Two brothers spend the day reflecting on life without providing any insites for the viewer. No clever dialogue, no wow moments make this a dull viewing.
