Very informative. Amazing what Modern Archaeology has been able to bring to light. A must watch for those interested in the history of Ancient Israel/Samaria & Judea and their relationship to the Omri Kings, Ancient Egypt, Assyria, and Babylon.
It should not be lost on the viewer how the politics of the region and the elites, The King and Priestly Class, influenced religion. People have not changed .

The BBC 2 documentary (3 parts) with Dr. Francesca Stavrakopoulou The Bibles Buried Secrets (Did God have A wife, The Real Garden of Eden , Did King David's Empire Exist) is available online on the Daily Motion. This is an equally fascinating look at the past. Do a google
This is different from The PBS series.

An exceptional movie.

While focus is on the Old Testament, the movie reveals how scientific archeology techniques and analysis trumps mythology.

And shows that all the various segments of the Old Testament are not only mythological stories, but were written down many, many generations (usually centuries) after the supposed "facts".

An exceptional companion piece is the book "The View from Nebo".

And ANYTHING by Israel Finkelstein!
