It was a cute and fun to read. If you are in the mood for moderatly smutty, self indulgent, completely fluffy romance. Which as it happens I sometimes am. It's pretty funny.

Good book with an interesting story but had sexual content which did not make it as enjoyable for me.

Ransom my heart has a great story line and it is really romantic but it is very sexual. Other than that, it is an awesome book. ( not recommended for younger readers)

Although I would have liked more historical content and something a bit more realistically dramatic, this was a well written romance! However, I stress the romance part; if you're not looking to be swooned by the fictional characters, I wouldn't recommend it.

I absolutely loved this book! I read the library's copy first, and then I later bought a copy. While re-reading it, I kind of forgot how great it is, and I still plan to read it again and again! Like SHAT123 said, there was WAY too much sexual content, and is extremely inappropriate for younger readers, especially if they have no idea how naughty this book can get! I was extremely surprised when I first read this book when I was only 13, and about had a heart attack when it got to THOSE scenes! Overall, I highly recommend this book, but only for older teens and even adults.

This book was sexist, (with the romantic lead often telling the heroine to obey him always, and this being construed as the right thing to do) frustrating, (I often would have done the opposite in many situations that the main characters were in) and just overall didn't make sense. The men were old fashioned and women meek, and yet the speech and other aspects of daily living was much more advanced. I understand and expected this to be a froofy romance novel, but it was also a bad example of relationships to young girls (who may have come to this after the Princess Diaries series) and overall just a read that failed to capture any emotion besides righteous indignation.

Violence: Well, there was some people getting knocked unconscious, people getting kidnapped, and a sword duel. Does any of those count?

Sexual Content: Lots of that. Like, there are a couple of scenes where it gets a little, "Cover your eyes, children," but they're not frequent (well, it really depends on your meaning of frequent). Either way, not for kids who haven't had "the talk". Or at least have the right idea of what "the talk" is about.
