In "The audacity of hope", he draws on his personal experience as a senator and lawyer, professor and father, Christian and skeptic, and finds a shared language about our nation's values. Learned a lot about the history of our government from this, in addition to Obama's thoughts

This is a pretty good synopsis of politics in America over the past two generations, from a Democrats point of view. It's interesting to hear a few years into Obama's presidency, since he is essentially trying to carry out exactly what he stated in this book. To liberals complaining that Obama is not liberal enough, it was all in the book. Conservatives will hate him, even if he turns into Reagan.
