I would read it again. It was well written.

Dysfunctional single mom having an affair with a married guy, severely messed-up diva who loves opera. Diva's gay crush. (The crush is gay, not the diva.) Mix and take cover.

I didn't realize until after I read this that it is a sequel to "Breathing Underwater." It is fine as a stand-alone book.

I was originally introduced to Alex Flinn several years ago with "Beastly," a great twist on a fairytale and decided to check some of her other works out. Diva was not a disappointment.
The plot is well structured and Caitlin was a likeable main character. But more importantly, Diva was a real eyeopener for me. I never really thought about opera before and it was low on my list... After Flinn introduced me a little better, I decided to go out a see an opera -- Amazing!

Sexual Content: No sexual content is described in this book, but a main character is known for "slutty" behavior (which is looked down on), and another main character is gay (which is accepted).
