Although the beginning was quite uneventful, I really enjoyed the different personalities of ALL the characters, and the mystery unravelled gradually with suspense. There was plenty of new vocabulary, but I really think the story could have been told in fewer chapters.

Ugh. I'm a big Mrs Murphy fan, but this book did not do anything for me. Preachy in tone, plot bordered on the unbelievable, and few sympathetic characters. Not worth reading, really. Rita Mae Brown can do much better than this!
