I am of the opinion that these were not some of Joyce Meyer's better books. Some of the information seemed recycled from some of her other books. The only one I read in full was Straight Talk on Depression. The message can be summed up as "smile and you won't be depressed." As I suffer from major clinical depression, this advice was not very helpful. She only briefly mentioned "medical" depression and all she had to say about it was that "obtaining proper physical help is prudent." I skimmed through the other six books, stopping to read when some of the text caught my eye. I did make notes of some of the scriptures she quoted in all seven books. These scriptures are the only things of value I found in the books.
