This is a real page turner; a quick read. The crisp and often funny banter in the dialogs is enjoyable. Reminds me of the detectives of bygone days such as Sam Spade. Good to read the Jesse Stone books starting from the first book in the series because you learn a little more about the regular characters as you go.

Author is very adept at portraying the lead characters dry sense of humour. I laughed out loud at some of it.
