Michelle Branch's unmistakable sound comes through again on "Hotel Paper". In this one she aims more for a mellow, wistful sound (owners of her previous record can relate this one to "Something To Sleep To" on "The Spirit Room") with slow tracks such as "Tuesday Morning" and "Desperately". Her more agitated, minor songs include "Empty Handed" and "Where Are You Now?". Stand-outs are "Breathe" and "Love Me Like That", with lovely vocals from Sheryl Crow. Lyrics are provided.
