I personally consider singer Annie Lennox to be one of the top-ranking, pop music divas of her generation.

Formerly the dynamic lead vocalist/lyricist of the ever-popular Eurythmics, Annie Lennox moved on to a successful solo career in the early 1990s. It's here that she proved, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that with her powerful vocal chords, unique singing style, and versatility as a songwriter, she was a talented performer worthy of great respect and recognition.

Released in 1992 - Diva would be Scottish singer, Annie Lennox's debut solo album. It immediately entered the record charts at #1 and has since sold over 2 million copies, worldwide.

2 of my favourite tracks from this album are - Little Bird, and Money Can't Buy It.... (*watch video*)

With the triumphant release of "Diva" in 1992, Scottish singer/songwriter, Annie Lennox certainly confirmed that (as a successful performer) she could get along just fine without her one-time Eurythmics partner, Dave Stewart.

Viewed by many as "state-of-the-art" pop, Lennox's "Diva" proved to be both a commercial & critical victory on either side of the Atlantic. And, with that, "Diva" went on to become a quadruple-platinum best-seller.

Out of "Diva's" 10 tracks, all but 2 were written solely by Lennox. 3 of my very favourites are Little Bird (*watch video*), Money Can't Buy It, and Precious.
