This is a gorgeous album,the instrumentation is superb,this is one of his best albums.This artist is always following his own vision,so some stuff is way ahead of the pack,and some is navel gazing. Beck is in it for the long haul,and should be around (if he desires) for a long time.

Widely considered by many to be his best work, Beck expresses his feelings of sadness after his break-up with great depth, alongside melodies & instrumentation that do not seem to age or grow tiresome- a criticism that can be held against his older catalogue.
