Blackwell North Amer
Bath is a town layered in history: Roman, Medieval, Georgian. Detective Superintendent Peter Diamond is a bluff, old-fashioned policeman. When he is presented with a skeletal hand, dug up in the course of renovations taking place in the vault under the Pump Room, he assumes it is merely of archaeological interest. But when the bones prove to be modern, Diamond must dig further.
His inquiries cross those of an visiting American academic. Mary Shelley's Frankenstein was written in Bath, in the house right next to the Pump Room vault. Can that fact have a bearing on a modern murder . . . or murders?

& Taylor

Why haven't I ever heard of this guy? My summers are reserved for mystery and crime novels and this is totally off my radar. I pulled this book off the shelf and read a few pages in the library to see if I liked it. Next thing I know; I'm 50 pages in and heading for the checkout with the librarian.
